BACKGROUND
Jenkins Signs is owned and operated by Beth Jenkins, and opened for business in 2002. Working from a home garage, Beth first began lettering signs, racecars, etc. with a "good old-fashioned brush" using quality sign paints. Many people asked Beth what made her decide to do this? Her reply was, "It's my father's fault. I was my father's right-hand kid in his sign shop from the age of nine until my late teen's and then some." Computers were not much a part of sign-making back then so everything was done by hand, which required a great deal of work!
Sometime around 2004, an office trailer and vinyl cutter were added to "keep up with the times." Since then, business has been steadily growing, mostly by word of mouth. Beth has recruited the help of her husband, Joe, to help with the sign construction and installation end of the business. Between the two of them, almost any type of sign can be produced.
Sign-making begins with basics of discussing the client's needs and budget. Sketches are made, logos are designed (if the client needs one), and sign placement is considered before producing the final product. And, to help a do-it-yourselfer, the lettering can be produced for applying to the ready-made sign.
