J.E. Sears & Company, Inc., located in the heart of downtown Appomattox, is one of the oldest businesses in Appomattox County, has been in business for 82 years, and is in its 3rd generation of management. We see a great potential for growth and development in our community, and we want to be a part of and share in this growth. Our goals are to give our customers the best quality materials and service possible. All of our personnel are friendly, experienced and knowledgeable in their trade and eager to help any customer.

We are a multi-faceted business which includes residential and commercial construction (homes, schools, churches, commercial buildings, etc.), renovations, retail building material and hardware store, millwork shop (custom cabinets, doors and custom creations), lumber yard, and landscaping supplies (decorative stone, landscape timbers, mulch, and brick chips).

Come in and visit our Benjamin Moore paint center. We carry a full line of Benjamin Moore paints, including a computerized color match system.

J.E. Sears takes pride in being a small family-run business with 21 employees. We encourage everyone to stop in for a shopping experience with a small town touch. No project is too large or too small.
