The Chamber held a luncheon on December 20, 2006 at the Babcock House to honor and show appreciation for its Visitor Center volunteers. The Chamber operated the Visitor Center with the help of its volunteers up until September 30, 2006 at which time the Town of Appomattox assumed its operation with paid staff. The Chamber owes a huge debt of gratitude for the tireless dedication of this small group of very wonderful volunteers.
