The Appomattox County Chamber of Commerce and its Appomattox Cheerz committee donates $500 to the Town of Appomattox as a "thank you" for the use of Abbitt Memorial Park for hosting the 2007 Appomattox Cheerz season. This donation will be combined with previous donations for the construction of a covered pavilion in Abbitt Memorial Park. Patrick Richardson, Chamber president, presents the $500 check to Mayor John L. Wilson.
