Appomattox Cheerzsm

Now in its 17th year, the 2015 Appomattox Cheerz season events will be held on the third Friday each month from May through September, with the first event being held on April 10th to coincide with the 150th Sesquicentennial celebration, and with the final event being held on October 9th (to help kick-off the annual Railroad Festival Weekend) in downtown Abbitt Memorial Park from 5:30-9pm.

Events include live performances from local bands, adult beverages (beer & wine coolers are available - proper ID required to obtain a beer bracelet and/or beer tickets so please bring your ID), a 50/50 raffle, as well as a local non-profit organization selling drinks, delicious hot food & snacks. 

Lawn chairs are always welcome, however, NO coolers or pets please.  All children must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised at all times.

Admission:  $5.00 per person (ages 13 & older) -- children 12 & under are FREE!

Adult Beverages:  $3.00 per ticket

If you are interested in an Appomattox Cheerz sponsorship, please download the Corporate Sponsorship Application and forward it to the Chamber office with your sponsorship payment.

BANDS
If you are a band interested in performing at a future Cheerz event, please forward your promotional materials, including a demo CD, to the Chamber office for consideration.  Please address all materials to the attention of the Appomattox Cheerz Committee.

NON-PROFITS
If your non-profit group is interested in hosting the food concession stand for a future Cheerz event, please download the Cheerz Non-Profit Agreement and forward it to the Chamber either by mail or by fax at 434-352-0294.  In the event that the number of agreements received are from more non-profits than there are scheduled events, the non-profits will be randomly drawn for an event.  Those non-profits who did not get assigned an event in the current year will receive preferential consideration for the following year.
