The Appomattox County Chamber of Commerce and its Appomattox Cheerz Committee invite you to join us on Friday, Sept. 19th for APPOMATTOX CHEERZ featuring "DIAMONDBACK."
The featured non-profit organization hosting the food concessions is the Pamplin Fire & EMS. Please show your support by purchasing some 50/50 tickets (25% of the proceeds benefit the non-profit) and by purchasing something at the concession table (100% of the proceeds benefit the non-profit).
Taylor Rodriguez, an Elvis tribute artist, will perform from 5:15pm to 5:55pm, and then again during the band's first set break. Gates will open at 5pm for this event only!
Feel free to bring your lawn chairs or blankets but please leave your pets & coolers at home. No outside food or beverages will be permitted - NO exceptions.
NOTE: Proper ID is required for those attendees wishing to purchase adult beverages.

The Chamber will host its 3rd quarter member luncheon on
Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 12 Noon at
Appomattox Community Center.
Our featured guest speakers are:Bart Smith, Virginia's Region 2000 SBDC Coordinator,who will provide an introduction about the SBDC and what services it provides to small business owners; AND
Anne Dixon, Director of Parks, Recreation and Tourism for Appomattox County, will provide another update on the 150th Sesquicentennial celebration for April 2015 and what the local businesses should expect from the influx of visitors.
The "make your own taco bar" will feature everything needed to make your own tacos or taco salad, plus Churros for dessert, and cold soft drinks or bottled water.
Cost is $8.00 per member/member guest;
$15.00 per non-member.

The Chamber will host its annual member HarvestFest Social on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Falling River Country Club. This year's social will be reserved for fellowship, food & fun. The evening will include music by DJ Spin of Appomattox, dancing, complimentary social hour, heavy hors d'oeuvre reception with plated desserts, entertainment provided by Taylor Rodriguez (an Elvis tribute artist), door prizes, and the annual Citizens of the Year award ceremony. Doors open at 6:30pm for the complimentary social hour.
The Babcock House will cater the heavy hors d'oeuvre reception with plated desserts. Dinner is $18 per member/invited guest(s)* and $36 per non-member. *Note: the Chamber pays a portion of the cost for its members as an "added membership benefit."
Reservation deadline is Noon on Monday, October 20th! No exceptions. All reservations will be billed unless canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
Reservations may be made by calling the Chamber (434-352-2621), email (please mark the subject line as "Member Dinner - October 23"), or directly through your Member Access. Just click on the "Register" button to complete the process. Once registered, you will receive an invoice for either prepayment in advance or payment at the door.
Please note that the Chamber office will be closed at Noon on Wednesday, Nov. 26th and remain closed through Friday, Nov. 28th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The office will reopen on Mon., Dec. 1st.
