APPOMATTOX CHEERZ
The Chamber would like to thank everyone for supporting the 2009 Appomattox Cheerz season! The Cheerz committee will begin planning this year's season in February so if you are interested in joining the committee, please let us know.
CHAMBER SCHOLARSHIP
The Chamber is now accepting applications for its 2010 Scholarship Award. All high school seniors are encouraged to apply for this $500 scholarship. The only criteria requirements are:

Must have a 2.5 GPA or better

Have been accepted into an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning

Are an immediate family member of either a current Chamber member OR a current Chamber member employee
All applications & required documents MUST be postmarked by or hand-delivered to the Chamber office NO LATER THAN MAY 21, 2010. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Information Packages
Relocation Packages: If you are either a newcomer to Appomattox or planning a move to the area, the Chamber can provide you with a relocation package full of very useful information for getting settled in the area. The package includes realtor and school information, telephone directories, Virginia State maps, information brochures, and many other useful items. These packages may be obtained by filling out the request form on the Contact the Chamber page or by calling us at 434-352-2621.
Visitor/Tourist Information and/or School Project Packages: You may obtain maps & other information on the Appomattox area by contacting the Visitor Center at 434-352-8999, email at tourism@appomattoxva.gov, or mail your request to PO Box 246, Appomattox, VA 24522. You may also visit its website at www.tourappomattox.com.
Railroad Festival Information: You may obtain maps & other information on the annual Historic Appomattox Railroad Festival, held during the second weekend in October, by contacting either Will Simmons or Roxanne Paulette at the Town Office at 434-352-8268, or you may also visit its website at www.appomattoxrailroadfestival.com.
